“Rivka spent 20 years as a business and tech journalist, covering privacy, security, identity theft, data mining, artificial intelligence and supply chains, focusing on the sociological implications of technology: how our behavior is changing in a TikTok/Dark Web culture. Leveraging what she learned as a journalist, Rivka has spent the last 10 years zeroing in on cybercrime prevention, mitigation and incident response, her research becoming forensic cyber investigation on threat intel systems and how criminals use cyber intel to target victims for financial and other crimes in the physical world.”
Rivka spent 20 years as a business and tech journalist, covering privacy, security, identity theft, data mining, artificial intelligence and supply chains, focusing on the sociological implications of technology: how our behavior is changing in a TikTok/Dark Web culture.
Leveraging what she learned as a journalist, Rivka has spent the last 10 years zeroing in on cybercrime prevention, mitigation and incident response, her research becoming forensic cyber investigation on threat intel systems and how criminals use cyber intel to target victims for financial and other crimes in the physical world.
Rivka served on the White House National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC), in the Cyber Security Working Group for Critical Infrastructure — appointed by President Obama and kept by the first Trump administration as the Point of Contact for the banking industry. She has been a C Level executive at fintech firms, nonprofits protecting kids, and Cyber Team Six, specializing in fraud and financial crimes. She holds a patent for co-inventing a secure payments app that replaces University Student ID cards, and serves on advisory boards to combat racism, antisemitism, and threats to the LGBTQ community.
Rivka is owned by two cats, two dogs and two sugar gliders. She is the wait staff and emotional support human — her favorite job. And all of her clients’ animals become the honorary guard dogs and cats of ZeroHack.
