Sebastian Mierau is a purpose-driven entrepreneur, innovator, and wellness advocate with a lifelong passion for helping people live healthier, more conscious lives.

Born and raised in a small working-class town in North Germany, Sebastian’s early life was shaped by adversity. Diagnosed with dyslexia in his first week of school, he struggled within the rigid boundaries of the traditional education system and grew up questioning his place in the world. But his teenage years brought a turning point—an internal shift that sparked a deep curiosity about human potential, health, and the role of conscious living in shaping one’s future.

This curiosity would become the foundation of his life’s work. After earning a master’s degree in climate change and working on sustainable solutions, Sebastian began looking at the intersection of health, innovation, and everyday rituals. That journey led him to co-found Clearlight® Saunas International, a company that quickly became a global leader in infrared saunas. Over more than a decade, Sebastian and his co-founder, Johannes Kettelhodt, brought world-class wellness technology into thousands of homes, building a global movement around detoxification, relaxation, and longevity.

But they weren’t finished. Motivated by a broader vision to revolutionise daily self-care and make it more accessible, Sebastian and Johannes went on to create Helsi Global—a next-generation wellness brand conceived and designed in Byron Bay. Helsi develops science-backed, beautifully designed products that deliver health benefits in under one hour a day. Their flagship innovations include the world’s first portable 2-in-1 infrared sauna with full-body red light, and the Helsi Ice Plunge, both designed to enhance health span and elevate everyday rituals.

Now based in Australia, Sebastian leads a growing team across Australia and Europe. Whether he’s innovating new health technologies or mentoring others, he brings clarity, warmth, and a deep commitment to helping people feel their best—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
